Product Overview
ASP’s UV SMART™ D60 System uses UV-C light to deliver automated, chemical-free high-level disinfection of compatible transesophageal echocardiography (TEE) probes in a 120-second cycle. Automatic cycle records support traceability and audit readiness.
The D60 System disinfects the probe handle, cable, and insertion shaft. Before disinfection, probes must be pre-cleaned, electrically leak tested, rinsed, and dried according to the applicable instructions for use.
Material compatibility testing helps ensure compatible probe materials can withstand repeated UV-C exposure across their expected service life.
How to use the UV SMART™ D60 System
-
Pre-clean the TEE probe, perform an electrical leak test, and rinse and dry the probe according to the applicable manufacturer’s instructions for use.
1Prepare the Probe
-
Scan your ID, the probe ID, and the patient ID number for traceability. Confirm “Pre-cleaning,” “Leak testing,” and “Rinsing and drying” on the screen.
2Scan Identification
-
Place the equipment in the D60 System and close the door, following the instructions for use.
3Load Equipment
-
Wait 120 seconds for the disinfection cycle to finish.
4Run the Cycle
-
Once the disinfection cycle is complete, scan your ID to unlock the door.
5Scan to Unlock
-
Disinfect your hands before removing the TEE probe.
6Disinfect Hands
-
Remove the TEE probe, ready for use.
