We have been using ASP equipment for many years, and it is a very important thing for our operation theatres. We are maintaining 100% safety of the equipment, sterility of the equipment and cleanliness of the equipment. So the patient will become safe for there will be minimum infection. Getting infection will be reduced from this equipment, turnover of the surgeries can be increased through your equipment. It minimizes the delay and we can trust the instrument is safely sterilized without any damage.

Terminal sterilization plays a critical role in minimizing postoperative infections. A comprehensive infection control practise is important starting from patient admission and continuing through to surgery, including the use of well-sterilized instruments and close coordination between the OT team and CSSD. It is important to adhere to protocols and educate all hospital staff on infection control to maintain high standards of patient safety. Further there is a shift away from carcinogenic sterilization methods like ethylene oxide, to safer and more effective alternatives.

Our OT is consistently busy and demanding, handling a wide variety of surgical procedures. We currently operate with STERRAD units in our CSSD, and I am extremely pleased with their performance. Our CSSD has long relied on STERRAD for sterilizing telescopes, camera heads, laparoscopic instruments, and other delicate, heat and moisture sensitive instruments. These sterilizers have significantly improved our ability to sterilize instruments quickly and efficiently, ensuring that the OR is always prepared on time. Moreover, they have allowed us to reduce inventory by decreasing the need for additional sets and have been instrumental in maintaining the integrity of our instruments.

The pioneers in dealing with advanced sterilisation products which are critical in ensuring highest standards which cater to patient safety in healthcare settings. ASP's play a vital role in maintaining patient safety, reducing hospital acquired infections and ensuring compliance with stringent healthcare regulations. By taking the support and educational training from ASP, healthcare settings can strengthen their infection control practices.

To me my surgical instruments are tools of my trade. Therefore the reprocessing care of these instruments and devices are critical to both surgical outcomes and patient safety. Many of us are ignorant of this paramount importance they carry. It is essential that all the operating staff and CSSD personnel should work hand in hand so as to have proper care of the instruments and ensure that they are sterilised in the right manner. I would like to take the liberty to say that our instruments & medical devices are our extended hands.

The infection control policies and procedures, when consistently applied and integrated into all systems and processes result in significantly reduced infection rates, thus reducing the mortality and morbidity due to hospital acquired infections. Practicing good infection control measures can bring a good clinical outcome. ASP plays a bigger role in ensuring the direct care givers and respective healthcare team members are adequately trained to upskill their knowledge and practice as per guidelines. Enhancement of knowledge as per the standard is the key and ASP remains to be a promising Industry partners for the healthcare team.

We maintain a zero-tolerance policy towards infection, and STERRAD has played a critical role in achieving this. STERRAD's sterilization process gives us confidence in patient safety by eliminating the risk of contamination without leaving chemical residues. In addition to MIS, we also perform robotic surgeries, where STERRAD helps preserve the integrity of expensive surgical equipment, extending their lifespan. STERRAD is a technology that I believe every surgeon should acquire in their hospital, as it provides peace of mind after surgeries, knowing there is no risk of surgical site infections (SSI) due to contaminated instruments.
