"The nightmare of any surgeon is Healthcare Associated Infections. There are many reasons. Instruments are also a contributing factor. To me my surgical instruments are tools of my trade. Therefore the reprocessing care of these instruments and devices are critical to both surgical outcomes and patient safety. Many of us are ignorant of this paramount importance they carry. It is essential that all the operating staff and CSSD personnel should work hand in hand so as to have proper care of the instruments and ensure that they are sterilised in the right manner.
