We braved the rain at ASP Sticky Wicket 2015

ASP News

Hardy events professionals braved the downpours to contest the annual ASP Sticky Wicket 2015 cricketing contest. Teams from the likes of Mash Media, CloserStill, Clarion and DMG packed into the pavilions and occasionally even made it out onto the pitch to battle it out for the honour of raising the trophy.

The sun burst for just long enough for ISS to claim victory from the Mash Media / International Confex team.  But the biggest celebration was the news that £42,000 had been raised for the Lord's Taverners.  This will help provide a mini bus for the Linden Lodge school in Wimbledon to support extra-curricular activities for their pupils with additional physical and sensory needs.

After the cricketing fun the action moved to the nearby Edinboro Castle pub for the official ASP afterparty – we took on the mantra #OrangeIsTheNewWhite with plenty of orange touches including welcome cocktails in our trademark hue.

It was great to see so many event professionals there – both for the cricket spectating in the daytime, or just for the tales of blood and tears at the afterparty at the Edinboro Castle.

We'd like to send a big thank you to the Sticky Wicket organising team, including those who pitched in behind the bar!
